We Are COME PLAY, LEARN AND EXPLORE WITH US! Only other mothers can possibly understand the joys and challenges of motherhood. Though highly rewarding, it can be an incredibly daunting, lonely and round-the-clock job! The Austin Preschool Mothers Club (APMC) brings together moms who live across the Greater Austin Area, including those who are:
The APMC brings together moms from all over the Austin area – from Cedar Park to Buda, Plfugerville to Dripping Springs – and are in various points along the newborn-to-kindergarten timeline. We manage feeding, napping and learning time for our kids, household tasks, time with our spouses, plus professional, paid and volunteer work commitments, and, if we can squeeze it in, some self-care in the way of exercise, time with friends or catching up on some of that most precious commodity in the early childhood years of parenting…sleep! We want the best for our kids, including getting out and enjoying the amazing opportunities to learn, play and explore that the Austin area provides. The APMC is a registered non-profit managed by a volunteer Governing Board which plans and coordinates club activities through the year. Board meetings are open to the public and we invite club members to consider giving back to the APMC by volunteering for a position!

We would welcome the chance to get to know you and your little ones, and the best way for you to check out the club and the great moms waiting to meet you is to visit an upcoming playgroup, meeting or event. We have events and activities year-round, and we’ll make sure you and your kiddos feel welcome, are introduced to other members and your questions about the club are answered on the spot. Plus we’ll have some fun, sharing mommy stories while the kids share toys, of course! Then we’ll welcome you, introduce you around to the other members and make sure you have the info you need to make the most of the club. The club's legal name is the Austin Preschool Mothers Club, and the idea behind starting the group originated in a Sunday school class in the University Baptist Church in 1925. The club was founded to serve as a source of pertinent information and incentive to mothers of preschoolers. For over 75 years, women have been coming to this club to educate themselves as mothers and to give and receive the support that women in such a vital role so greatly need. APMC has met at University Baptist Church, the Federated Women's Club, Hyde Park Christian Church, Tarrytown Methodist Church, Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Grace Covenant Church, Crestview Baptist Church, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, Grace Nazarene Church and Northwest Hills United Methodist Church. |
